Year Round, 8 harp solos
Year Round, 8 harp solos
YEAR ROUND depicts the Wheel of the Year, the annual cycle of seasonal festivals including the solstices and equinoxes. This delightful collection of 8 harp solos takes us through the seasons with character and imagery.
Each piece is a study with opportunities to develop your harp technique. Work through a variety of left hand patterns, challenge your right hand dexterity, develop your skill with harmonics and grace notes, and improve your reading with a variety of meters and rhythm patterns. This is a wonderful collection for teachers, students and life-long learners.
I composed this collection of pieces in 2017. The current 2024 edition includes revisions, updates and improvements along with a new all-in-one performance video.
The collection includes:
- New Beginnings (small harp)
- Signs of Spring
- Queen of the May (small harp)
- Summer Breeze
- August Eve (small harp)
- We Gather Together
- In Passing
- Boughs of Holly (small harp)

This piece ("Boughs of Holly") in Anne's book, Year Round, is so delightful to play and listen to! I think it is genious! It is my all time favorite Christmas piece with a lot of zip and energy! It fits among and between other Holiday repertoire so wonderfully! Be sure to listen to the entire song!
Thank you so much, Karen! Those zippy Christmas arrangements are so fun to play! Glad you are having fun with it. - Anne
