THE WHITE CAPS, in D Mixolydian has a cheerful sparkle like the white caps on the ocean. This lilting piece is fun to play with patterns that lay comfortably in the hands. Use it as a study to develop the left hand 1-5-10-9-8 pattern.

I ordered this knowing that it was a bit out of my skill level; however, I am so proud of myself that I have worked my way through the syncopated parts and have developed the fingering pattern for the left hand. Of all things, I'm having trouble hitting the low D-A-F rolled chords in the left hand, of which there are just two, but I keep hitting the E above the D as I try to roll it. I'm sure with practice, I will get it. I already feel such a sense of self-accomplishment as I play this lovely composition!!! Thank you so much, Anne!!!!
Thank you so much for sharing this, Lori. I’m delighted to hear that you took on the challenge and have worked your way through the syncopated sections. Those little spots that seem stubborn at first often become the easiest with time and repetition! Congratulations on all the progress you've made already, and thank you for letting 'White Caps' be part of your musical journey. - Anne
