SAND CASTLES is played entirely on the piano black keys and may be taught with a combination of rote and reading strategies. The large motor coordination is relaxed and comfortable, while there are opportunities written into the music for students to develop various right hand finger combinations. The score includes a technique warm-up to help develop this skill. Students won't even realize they are developing technique with this expressive solo.
