OPEN YOUR EYES is an expressive harp solo for the mid-intermediate player. It is an original composition, loosely based upon the poem of the same name by Emma Boge Whisenand.
"Open your eyes that you may see
The beauty that around you lies,
The misty loveliness of the dawn,
The glowing colors of the skies;"
This piece lies comfortably in the hands and flows along in a gentle 6/8 meter. Fingerings and brackets have been included to help you navigate the melody successfully. The piece includes harmonics and grace notes, but no lever changes. You will want a large harp to enjoy the low register.

Beautiful, uplifting piece with fun rhythms and harmonics.
Love the rich tones in the lower octaves especially when you let the strings ring. Great piece for therapeutic settings. Full of soul and spirit!
Thank you Maria!
