The ancient Celtic festival of LITHA is celebrated on the summer solstice, which in the Northern Hemisphere was on June 21. Think of evening bonfires and beautiful sunshine. This was also the day that my new little Marini Made 28-string bass lap harp arrived, so the first composition that I wrote with this harp has been aptly named "Litha". It fits perfectly on 28 strings, highlighting the beautiful low F strings.

Your score includes right hand fingering suggestions and handy rehearsal marks. You will see some left hand 10th patterns, grace notes in the tune and a sixteenth to dotted eighth featured rhythm. This piece fits the hands beautifully and walks along at a gentle pace.

This speaks to my heart

Well Anne, you've out done yourself! Mid-intermediate tunes are a challenge for me and this one is coming along nicely. I don't have the same harps but have a nice sounding one. This is gorgeous. It feels like a gift. Thank you. Mona King

Hi Mona, I'm so pleased to hear that you are enjoying 'Litha'. - Anne
