Barnyard Friends
Barnyard Friends
The BARNYARD FRIENDS give your piano students a playful strategy for learning the basics of landmark music note reading on the grand staff. Practice with Gina, Farmer Fred and all their friends. This digital teaching aid gives your students 25 page activity pages to practice drawing notes and clefs on an ipad or tablet. The studio license means you can use this resource again and again with your own private students.
Get started with treble and bass clefs plus line and space notes. Meet the full cast of characters one by one to learn the grand staff landmark notes. Learn to step up and down from the landmarks to identify even more notes on the staff.
This resource sets the stage for developing note reading skills. Use either mnemonics or directional reading (or both) after the landmarks have been mastered. A great compliment to many beginner piano methods.
The resource includes a links page so you can quickly navigate to a particular concept. Numbered activity pages let you easily keep track of the pages that each student has mastered.
Watch the video for a full preview using my 12.9" iPad Pro, Apple Pencil and the app NoteShelf 2.
And you can also watch the Barnyard Friends videos right here or on YouTube.
