This gentle tune includes an intermediate arrangement for harp plus a simplified lead sheet for late elementary level players or those with small harps.
When I composed this piece I recorded it and asked my Music Discoveries Newsletter followers to listen and give me their title suggestions. They came back with over 100 beautiful and creative titles. I chose the name given by Julie and Amelia Buss.
Six-year old Amelia was so excited to suggest her own title, that listening to the music and imaging a name for the song replaced her usual bedtime stories. Amelia's Mom, Julie said that the lightness and innocence of the music made it a perfect bedtime song and therefore suggested, "Amelia's Lullaby".
I added some pictures of wildflowers in the video since Amelia had suggested "Flowers Blowing in the Wind" as her title. "Amelia's Lullaby" captures the feeling of love, peace and joy that many of my other newsletter followers highlighted in their own titles and imagery. It was wonderful to connect with all of you for this project and I am grateful for your enthusiasm and imagination!
