The Waterfall is a gorgeous piece that can be taught by rote or reading. It is a great piece to teach tone production and techniques such as wrist rotation and relaxation. My 10-year old daughter needed a piece for 5th grade concert solo audition and she only had a week to prepare, so I assigned her this piece. She absolutely loves it and memorized it in 2 days. Her music teacher was impressed and said the piece was beautiful. My daughter passed the audition and will also play this piece for Piano Guild and Spring Recital in May.
