Meditation, harp
Meditation, harp
This MEDITATION is soothing and beautiful. The left hand settles on a simple C Major harmony. You may count the rhythm with a steady, slow pulse or treat the ties like fermatas and just listen to the sound fade. As you play the right hand, feel as though you are speaking with gentle inflection and natural breathing.

Anne, your piece called Meditation is so beautiful - all the more so through its simplicity and slow tempo. What a lovely touch to add the words 'listen to the sound fade' on the long notes!
Thank you for sharing this with the wider world - I love it!
I love this song! After I finish practicing on other pieces, I play this song as the sun goes down! The neighbors around me open their windows so they can hear it. WOW, I didn’t know it was such a comfort to all around me.
Hi Laura, I love it when it's warm enough to play the harp outside or with the windows open. Sounds so dreamy!
What a lovely piece! I instantly feel more calm and centered when I play it. I hope that the second segment will someday be available for purchase. I'll be first in line to buy it!
This easy, peaceful piece helped me reconnect with my harp after a time away while grieving. I always find it comforting to play. And I just now played it without lifting my E, A, and B levers to get into C major, and I’m lulled and lured by the haunting sound and vibrations. Thank you, Anne.
What a wonderful idea to play it in C minor with the B, E, A levers down! I'm so pleased this piece is giving you comfort and connection.
