THE LOOK OFF is a beautiful early intermediate harp trio inspired by childhood memories of the stunning Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia. When I was little, our family would drive to the Look Off to watch the valley below—and I was always fascinated by the hang gliders soaring across the green fields and wide open sky.
This expressive trio captures that sense of freedom and wonder.
- Part 1 can be played on a small harp with bass C as the lowest pitch.
- Parts 2 and 3 are arranged for larger harps.
All three parts are included in your sheet music download.
Ideal for harp ensembles or students looking for a collaborative piece with a sense of nostalgia and joy.
Pages: 9 pages of music (each part 3 pages)

Thank you Anne for this lovely ensemble piece. Our small harp ensemble here on B.C's Sunshine Coast has just started working on it and loving it. It's very accessible & technically right where we are as a group. We play at the home of one of the group...right beside the ocean with breezes blowing and the occasional eagle flying by. The harps often 'play' by themselves when we're taking a break as the wind ruffles the strings.
Anne, are you planning to write more ensemble pieces with three or maybe even four parts? We would love it if you did!! We all love your music and we each have our favourites.....I'm currently working on The Dragonfly....beautiful.
Ooo, your group should make a video of this one. Sounds like a beautiful practice location! Enjoy!
Such a lovely tune in three parts. I have been playing around with recording/playing the parts using different combinations of harp and piano. All I need now is to work out the chords and add in a bit of guitar! Great play value even if I don't have two other harpists to play with! Thank you so much Anne.
That sound like so much fun, you are so creative! - Anne
