The Mersey River is an early intermediate solo arranged for double strung harp. You'll find the dark water of Mersey River and its beautiful trails at Nova Scotia's historic Kejimkujik National Park.
As I continue to wait for my "real" double strung harp to arrive, I am diving into the texture, coordination and visual challenges of playing on two rows of strings. With my Dusty Strings FH36S and my Triplett Christina side by side I can already start working out my approach to playing the double strung. My strategy is to use simple, repetitive patterns that are easy to memorize so I can limit the number of places I need to look.
This solo works well on 26x2 double strung harps or larger. Your sheet music download includes a BONUS version for small double strung harps 19x2.
