Level 3: Late Elementary Harp
You will see the coordination demands begin to increase in the Late Elementary level. If you have a background in piano, you may find Level 3 to be a very good starting place for you. You will be reading dotted quarter note rhythms and the hands will need to develop the ability to play quarter notes in one hand and eighth notes in the other. The left hand will consist primarily of 1-5, 1-3-5 and 1-5-8 patterns. The right hand will see more advanced linking, 4-note placing and crossovers, though fingering and brackets will continue to be included. You will also see larger intervals (6th, 7th and octave), crossing hand arpeggios patterns and occasional lever changes.
